Just before we gave in we noticed this restaurant across the road and decided if it was anything like, we would eat there. We pride ourselves on trusting or eyes, ears and noses, so when we entered we were pleased. It is a typical Spanish restaurant and that is a very good thing for us. We visit Spain quite often; us, is me, my wife, my daughter, her husband and two children. It is family run and they were all there. The lady running the restaurant apologised for her poor English and for the menu being only on Spanish, she is part of what made this a truly fantastic experience. There was advice from her on choosing, and favours before the first course. We were treated to a tastng menu quality, which I don't believe could be surpassed anywhere. The postre course was ordered, me and my Son in Law ordered brandy the bottle of a superior Spanish Brandy was left on the table with two warmed glasses. We were blown away by the quality of the food, service and attention to detail. Theirs is a very good restaurant in an out of the way place that should be sought out for the quality and friendly service.
When we enter in La Cura it seems like a nice small restaurant, a nice menu outside...day specials... but when you start being serve, it really changes! There are a guy and a girl working there. Without any sympathy they give you a piece of paper with the day menu (2 dishes+coffee+1drink by 9€ looks ok ...but we did not want the day special and ask for the menu...NO! they said that if you just want 1 dish, you can choose on from the special and they will give you in bigger quantity : So...you have a big nice menu outside from which you cannot choose. Then the food...one of those special in a bigger plate...too salty, to fat...but we could eat something. In the middle, they put in the table a plate with bread covered with olive oil, that we did not ask or ate.... But when the bill came, the bread was there to pay...and they said we must pay it or pay more for the entire meal! REALLY NICE! So you you want nice food and nice treatment...and to pay just what you eat... don't visit La Cura....
(Nuggets artificiales, salchichas, patatas, etc).
