We walked around in town for diner, almost everything closed, found this little restaurant and were delighted. Excellent food and great wines. Try the flammed cheese or the duck!
We just had dinner there. The place is run like a mon&pop outfit: Martin cooks, his wife runs right, left & center to serve all clients. Lean, no mistakes, personal touch. Everything is optimised.Food was good, superbly prepared, no fault. The "livèche" sorbet between entrée and main dish was interesting.Personally I would favour a more mature Munster for dessert, but the concept of having clients try the same cheese in three different forms (toasted, nature and stuffed) is quite interesting.Only two improvement areas:- the wine list is quite short (especially if you think they sit just a few km away form some of the best Gran Cru in Alsace) and doesn't has the best "caves" of the region- service is slow (took 2:40 to have three dishes), but you can't have everything (especially if the whole staff is made by two people) ... and a slow evening sometimes has it's merits too
