Good Parsi food (of course not like mom made it, but still enjoyable). The Chinese is the good old Mumbai street food Chinese variety that all of us Mumbaikars enjoy but which has nothing in common with Chinese cuisine except the name. But all in all this is an old favourite of the family, and my husband and son visit it far more frequently than I do. Service is great...friendly servers who stop to chat, and recommend dishes. It's an Irani cafe so don't get all snotty about ambience...this is exactly how it should be. Have the Parsi favourite of Raspberry and enjoy as it's cloying sweetness washes down the Mutton Dhansak and Salli Botti. A good fried fish with tartare sauce too (their unique version of tartare sauce), and a very tasty fried bheja (brain) that comes swaddled in a fluffy omlette. You cannot be in Mumbai and not visit Ideal Corner!
Located near residency hotel, might be difficult to spot at times. Interiors are a bit different. There's a bike in between the space which has traversed t9 ladakh. The space is not air conditioned and hence tje the environment might get a bit sultry. Primarily serves parsi food, also has a Chinese menu with very limited items.<br/ <br/ Coming to the the food, we ordered chicken and veg dhansak and kebab. It contained a dal with chicken, some pulav rice and a couple of chicken kebabs. The veg variant had the usual kali daal and veg kebab cooked parsi style. The chicken was tender and well cooked. The dal was also well cooked and good to taste. The pulav tasted kinda bland, but when mixed with the dal it tasted good.<br/ Good experience overall, worth the money
Great value for money because the price to portion ratio is excellent. We ordered for dhansak, fish with chips and chicken cutlets. The mutton was very tender and the fish and chips and chicken cutlets were excellent. Didn't like the bread pudding.
One of the legendary restaurant in town area serving authentic Parzi food. The service is very quick.staff is very friendly. Ambiance is ok, it has a bike in middle of the restaurant which has been to khardung pass 18,300 feet. It's a great place to visit during lunch hours.I tried chicken cheese patice it was great 4/5.I also tried brain fried in omlet something different but good 3.5/5.Would definitely like to visit the place again once more
