Gathering Spot Cafe

Although there are lots of impacts from COVID to the hospitality industry, it does not mean that the passion of workers will be reduced . This cafe is one of the modal.It was a lockdown period when I had a take away brekkie from the place.Coffee was the same SIMPLY brew with consistent standard of strong flat white. Hero was the egg and bacon roll. Bread roll was as soft as cotton and the fillings of bacon pieces and eggs were generous and tasteful.A very satisfied brekkiePrevious rating: Dec 2018 4/5; Nov 2017 3/5

Every time we come here the food is phenomenal!! I’m not exaggerating either. My favourite is their breakfast special (which they provide all day) the haloumi bruschetta. The price is very good too. Thanks Gathering Spot, you’ve added much needed flavour and good value to the area!

Great service. Hubby had a pork belly burger and I had a beef brisket burger, but we split them so we could try both, and they were both gorgeous. The brisket was lovely, nicely spiced on a soft bread roll with a coleslaw accompaniment that cut through the richness of the beef.  The pork belly was just as beautiful, on the same type of bun, with a delicious asian slaw that just lifted the whole burger. Both came with a side of chips that tasted of potato and weren't soggy. Can't wait to try out the rest of the menu!

I ordered takeaway of meat biggie breakfast. Pesto was really tasty but the poached eggs were overcooked. I ordered sweet potato fries but ended up getting norma fries.. not sure when it went wrong

I was getting some work done on my car at MyCar Rochedale and the manager told me it was going to take about 1.5 hours. He suggested I try the Rochedale Shopping Village up the road for a coffee while I was waiting. The Gathering Spot Café was my choice. You could see that this must be a local gathering spot and a very popular one with the amount of foot traffic that was wandering in and out. There were also large groups that were seated in the outdoor settings, all talking and discussing today's events while enjoying the various food options that they had ordered. I ordered Carrot cake that came with a generous helping of whipped cream to go with the coffee. My order was ready to go in a matter of minutes, served with a smile, the coffee and cake absolutely delicious. The Gathering Spot Café has a very extensive all day menu with gluten free options available. There is plenty of parking in the shopping centre car park with a Super Market, Hairdresser, Bakery, Newsagent, Fitness Club, Toilets and other speciality shops nearby.
