Holy Smokes Bbq - Mountain Home

We have been around the Bull Shoals Lake area for years and did not know about this place. Our loss! We are from the St Louis area and have many places to which we can compare the food and price. We both said that this is the best bbq we have ever had! The staff was so accommodating! Even suggested something not on the menu and it was fantastic! Seek out this little place off the beaten path asap. You won’t be sorry! And it was NOT expensive! Wow!

We ordered Brisket Ribs with Nachos pork as appetizers. The Nachos were barely tolerable as almost every bite of Nachos w pork had quite a bit of chopped up cartilage and the pork was tough and chewy. My bad, should have specified pork MEAT not pork CARTILAGE. When the entree came, the smoked Mac cheese had no hint of smoke. Tasted like Velveeta Mac cheese ... nothing special. On the flip side the ribs and brisket were excellent ... beautifully smoked, tender and falling apart. The smoked baked beans were killer ... really superb flavor and consistency.

This place always has top shelf smoked and BBQ food. I personally stop in after work and get carryout on the way home, at least every other week over the last year. I'm still in the phase of trying different menu entries, but so far I have not had a meal I didn't enjoy. Very fair priced, very good food, my only issues are they weren't serving a couple days before Thanksgiving when I really had the taste for them and when I went there a couple weeks ago but they were closed for remodeling for the week.

Great little bbq restaurant! We tried 3 of the bbq meats and they were all moist and delicious. Their peanut butter pie is homemade and must try, even if you take it home for later. The service was super fast! Our excellent waitress was very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to going back and trying something else!

The kids and I enjoyed dinner at holy smokes last night! The smoked chicken is always my go to while they tend to go for the brisket. Everything was perfect from the food to the service! Absolute best BBQ in town! Thanks Matt and team for always providing a fantastic meal and friendly service.
