Foxfire Mountain House - MOUNT TREMPER

There are not enough words to describe how happy we are with our decision to have our wedding at Foxfire. Bridget and team were so thoughtful, down to earth, reliable, and calming during the planning process. She is so knowledgeable, organized, and resourceful that there were hardly any topics to stress over. We were really blown away during the wedding weekend, as were all of our guests. They really make you feel like you're at a chic retreat with your closest friends. The food, drinks, and ambience are just unbeatable. If you're thinking of having your wedding at Foxfire, don't hesitate do it!

Recently dined here for my wife's birthday and so glad we did. Wonderfully refined local farm to table fare that suits the area perfectly. The Venison Tartare for example felt like it told a local story and was beautiful to eat. Friendly relaxed atmosphere that was just our vibe, the staff were wonderful (and discreet! and loved it overall. This is a hidden gem that we likely wouldn't have found if it weren't for the billboard on route 28, but we'll happily spread the word to try this place out. Definitely be back, thank you for the wonderful night!

Foxfire is truly one of the most special places I have ever experienced. My husband and I got engaged at Foxfire in Feb 2021, and immediately knew it was the only place we could picture getting married. While Foxfire is a beautiful, serene property in the middle of the Catskills, what really makes it magical is the people. Through every part of the wedding planning process, the staff made us feel like a part of their family. Bridget, the in house wedding planner, was always positive, organized, and highly communicative. The service at our wedding was perfection, and we loved being able to completely enjoy our wedding weekend knowing that we were in such capable hands. The food is absolutely incredible, and we get compliments from many guests that our wedding was hands down the best wedding they 've ever been to. We still remain close friends with many members of the staff to this day, and will undoubtedly continue to return year after year. Everything Foxfire touches is absolute magic.

We had the most magical and romantic weekend at Foxfire. We did a stay and dine retreat package, which included fantastic food and tasty cocktails and drinks. In the evenings we relaxed by the fire and felt just like we were in a good friends living room. Our last morning we woke up to it snowing outside, totally gorgeous. Made some amazing memories and cannot wait to return!

We did a Stay Dine retreat that included a tasting and talk by Forthave Spirits, followed by a four-course meal. The food, service and vibe were fantastic! We opted to stay over and found the room to be charming, large, and well-appointed. The walls and floors were a little thin, and we could hear revelers enjoying the record player a floor below, but we didn't mind too much, and they ended at a respectable hour. The following morning, we were delighted by the beautiful breakfast spread and great coffee. For us, the best part of our experience was the people. Every person we talked with, staff and visitors, were so nice! We haven't stopped talking about how the service we received at Foxfire has been the very best since the pandemic began. Thank you!
