Wasabi Mount Pleasant

Having been at the other locations I was disappointed that they served Hibachi but that the food was actually cooked in a kitchen. There were 7 of us and then another group of 7 and another family with like 5 kids. I felt we had to shout or get up and move around to have conversation with anyone.

Service was very poor. Had to wait more than 10 minutes for a server, more than 20 minutes for a drink, had to ask for napkins, etc...

Sushi and other food was good. Service was unacceptable in that one of our sushi rolls was was initially not delivered with the rolls. I can tolerate mistakes but the server seemed indifferent (not even an apology) to the mistake which was either his or the sushi chef. I would have expected the restaurant to have put priority on preparing a missed food item but it took about 15 more minutes for the roll to be prepared and delivered to the table. I know full well how long it takes a good sushi chef to make a roll (much less than 10 minutes) so it is obvious the restaurant did not care to minimize the delay. There are too many good sushi restaurants in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area to have to tolerate poor customer service such as this.

Food is good, but not a sushi fan, so I'm thinking the meal was o.k. Good value, good service. Not one of my favorite places.

They have the best dressing on their house salads. You can buy a container to go. It's amazing. My husband likes their sushi and I love their hibachi. If you go at happy hour they have sushi specials or go for lunch for a cheaper meal.
