The Fish Chippy - Mount Pleasant

The food was absolutely amazing! My co-worker and myself were in town from Colorado. And wanted good fish and chips. This place was recommended and did not disappoint. It was so fresh and everything cooked to perfection!

Waited on food for about 15 min. Had to let them know my food was in the window waiting on me. Once food was brought to my table i then had to ask for my sweet tea I purchased. Food was hot and extremely fresh, batter was nice and crispy however extremely bland. Either the Codfather is that good or this place is that bad.Ambiance is 80's stadium anthems blaring at 100%. So don't think you'll have any private conversations since you can't even hear yourself think.If my business was running like this I'd be embarrassed.

So, for a while I was a Codfather disciple when it came to fish chips in the Charleston area. I recently decided to give Fish Chippy a shot because it's only a mile from my house, and they were saying and doing all the right things. I'm so glad I did. They do an amazing job, massive portions, excellent service, in a quaint setting.

Had such a wonderful experience here! Customer service was 100% the food was 100% and the atmosphere is cosy and friendly! Can't wait to come back!

Wow. Every time we go to Charleston from Greenville now (which is fairly frequent) we make a point to go to Fish Chippy. Codfathers is really, really good but Fish Chippy is on an entirely different level. The fish is perfect. So are the mushy peas and scotch eggs. I've gotten to know the owner and the chef and they are both top notch. Recently we were back in England where I got hooked on proper British Fish Chips years ago. In my opinion, nothing there can compete with this little spot tucked away in Mt. Pleasant. And we kind of like that it's not in the busier areas Shem Creekand the like. Just tucked away in a nice peaceful little shopping area (there's a Planet Fitness nearby if you're looking for bearings).On a recent business trip to Bushy Park I took one of the other managers from our firm and he couldn't believe it.
