Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe Mt. Pleasant

Finding staff in the whole Charleston district seems to be a challenge. I admit that because it was my first time in the establishment, I may have been a bit high maintenance, which I recognize may not have been fair. However, the food truly is excellent, particularly the salmon—it’s fantastic. Just be prepared to serve yourself, as there aren’t many people actively seeking jobs. Unfortunately, my main reason for not returning is my interaction with either the manager, the owner, or possibly both. I was told I was simply a nuisance during my time there, and I was even offered a refund, which I never requested. This experience has deterred me from going back. As I mentioned earlier, the salmon is outstanding, but remember that a team is only as good as its leader. I noticed that only two people in the back of the house were smiling.

The lamb dish I had was overcooked, leading to crispy edges that were not pleasant. It should have been cooked on a spit rather than in a pan. The tzatziki sauce was thin and watery, lacking flavor and seasoning. The cooking method may have contributed to the dish's shortcomings. However, I must commend the staff for their friendliness and competence—they definitely deserve a 5-star rating!

The food was amazing! I got the beef gyro. It was tender and tasty! We got the whipped honey feta app!!! Amazing! Theybwere fast! Nice! Clean! And affordable!!!!

Service was terrible today. I usually stop here when I am in town visiting to eat because the food is good, but I usually eat in. Today I was in a hurry and had to order to go. I asked for extra bread and paid for it. I am vegetarian so I ordered the Veggie Feast. I ordered. Two groups of people came after me and were seated and ordered food and received their orders while I was still sitting waiting on my one order of food to go. Two other people came in and were seated finally my order was ready. How long does it take to grill a few vegetables? Aren?t you supposed to take a person?s order in sequence? Anyhow I get my order I asked if they gave me my extra bread the cashier said yes. I get to the car and check. It doesn?t look right. I go back in and tell the cashier this doesn?t look like two orders of bread and the order is very small. She said that?s the way it looks. It?s in there and if you open it it will get cold. It?s correct that?s the way it comes. I got to my hotel. It was wrong! The food order was also very small compared to what I get in the restaurant. I was very disappointed. I will not be back at this location again. Terrible service.

This was great food! We tried the chicken gyros, lamb gyros, Greek salad the hummus w/ pita chips spicy cheese w/ pita chips. It was all very yummy! There is a good amount of meat included. We loved the hummus pita chips and the cucumber tomato side salad was so fresh tasting. It was perfect!
