Ocean View Estate Restaurant

The service was poor the wine serve was skimpy and our meals were stale and dry. I’ve been here a few times now but this time was not good. We were not offered coffee or a dessert menu (we gave it space). So we left. It’s a long way to drive for such mediocre food and service. You expect more.

Terrible experience. Were made to wait almost an hour before our drink order was taken. Then entree didn't come for nearly 2.5 hours and staggered so everyone was eating at different times. Food didn't arrive for almost 3.5 hours. Very rude staff, terrible food. I would never go back even if the food were free!

Jen was our friendly face greeting us at the door. A welcoming smile and was quick to take our order. My husband had the Calamari and was blown away with this dish. He was extremely satisfied! I had the Gnocchi and was equally impressed! Certainly will be returning maybe for a date night.

Ocean View is a beautiful location, with stunning views. We called in for a drink, but we were sadly disappointed. We ordered a cocktail each, as we were looking for something special. Ordered using the QR code on the table, when the order was placed it said they would send a text when the cocktails were ready to be collected. (The kind of thing you'd expect at a basic pub, not a classy venue. Well, we waited and waited and waited! Nothing. Went to the bar and asked if there was a problem with our order, only to be told our drinks were just sat on the bar! Nobody had bothered to let us know. There were loads of staff working, surely someone could have bought them the few steps to our table, if there was a problem with their ordering system. Couldn't believe what I saw when they pointed out the drinks. $36 for 2 cocktails and thet were served in a plastic cup!! No flair or fancy presentation (as you normally get with a cocktail , they just looked like a cup of pink soda. Absolutely awful, so disappointing, overly sweet. The whole experience, apart from the view was disappointing

What a wonderful place We stayed in both the 1 2 bedroom cottages I couldn’t fault them But mostly EVERY single staff member was so accommodating and friendly. I have never experienced such friendly staff. Anything I asked for was eagerly sorted for me and they went over and above I cannot fault this place I was allowed to bring my small dog which was an added bonus .., and she loved it as well Also the bed was super comfortable!! Thank you Jen all the staff there for a very enjoyable well earned break
