Milkbar & Co - Mount Martha

Great place to grab some quick take away breakfast on the way to work during the week. The toasted jaffels were a staple for me for a while. Great place to sit down and eat too although, I much prefer going for take away during the week as it gets really busy on weekends.

My cousin Keith took me out for coffee and cake as he knew I was in need of an outing. Being in Mount Martha recuperating from chemotherapy and radiation treatments I suggest the Mount Martha village.Service was excellent greeted as we entered by the barrista and the as we moved down to view the cakes we were again greeted and served with our delicious choices me a almond croissant and Keith decided on a healthy looking slice which was a rhubarb, apple, oats crumble HUGE slice. Coffee was very good, as a decaf drinker I was impressed.I was happy to see a few dogs sitting with their families out the front near us. Mount Martha turned on her magnificence with blue skies and sunshine, it won't be long before the umbrellas come out.I will certainly return but a little earlier we arrived after 2.30 pm and although I loved my cake selection I would have enjoyed some eye candy.

Walking through the Mount Marta shops looking for somewhere to sit and have a coffee in the warm afternoon sun and we happened upon the Milkbar Co. It proved to be ideal and a good decision.

$45 for cold, average food that came late. Orders came at separate times, I had finished my food by the time my partner had even received his - it seemed one of our orders had been forgotten and not put through. Very little to no customer service. Staff were aware that one of our dishes had not been brought out but no one addressed it or even apologised, at any point. Very disappointing, considering we had specifically driven down to try out the cafe.

Lovely place indoor or outdoor eating. Plenty of parking. Very friendly staff. Fantastic quick service, extensive menu reasonably priced. Kids menu available.
