Lawley's Bakery Cafe - Mount Lawley

Pretty good selection of bakery products, as well as cafe and take away stuff. Certainly not the cheapest bakery in Perth, albeit with reasonable quality fare. Sometimes leaves a bit to be desired with the quality, particularly over dry, of its pies.

The quiches and fruit mince pies, were outstanding. Nearly everyone at the event commented Staff also, were helpful and friendly.

The actual place is fairly average inside but they have a lot of interesting old theatre posters on the wall from 50's-60's so some nostalgia there. If you go to Lawley's Bakery and Cafe you must eat cake! They have dozens of cakes and pastries to choose from and all fresh and bright. You are spoiled for choice. They also have fresh pies in about 10 varieties, hot chips and other quick lunch type foods. Plenty of fresh breads to choose from too for taking home. Many coffee choices (but I'm not a coffee connoisseur and coffee is over-rated anyway). I go there for the fresh pies and cake! It's a great place for lunch if you want a steak&pepper/chicken/cottage pie & coffee & cake for around $15. Good value for money. Did I mention the cakes! MMMMMmmmmmm..... !

Ordered a chai, coffee and some dine in breakfast.Chai was made with not enough powder flavour so was more milky tasting, and the brekky wrap didn't burst with flavour, rather bland. Coffee did taste pretty nice though, made by the same lady.Overall it was okay. Not sure if I would return.

It wasn't terrible but just not what I had in mind for breaky. Great range of breads, pies are delish.. Even service is friendly and prompt. It's just the quality of food for what you would expect for an area like mt lawley, for the price.. I did not find it to be fair. Food wasn't awful by any means. Just seemed to missing love and care and would definitely not return due to that. Can't fault service though. The chick that served us was very friendly, patient and genuine!
