Casa Bianchi - Mount Hawthorn

The negatives: - The menu is so outdated and has not been updated for at least 6 years. - At $20+ for a meal you’d expect quality ingredients – not here!!!  - The bread used is a 99c loaf from Spudshed. - No table service. - Food is bland. - The staff are always dismal. - Service is slow regardless of how busy it is. The positives: - They finally have an EFTPOS machine.  - They are a BYO venue to ensure that the patrons can get **** faced drunk and the above mentioned issues are forgotten.

We came here on a Sunday morning for brunch and found the place to be bustling but easy to get a table as the cafe has ample indoor and outdoor seating. The place is like a secret garden with koi in the fishpond which was great for entertaining kids. We had the avo smash and savory french toast. Avo was good and of generous proportions while the toast was a bit average and lacking in flavor. Juice and coffees were very good. Service was a little slow given it wasn't a full house. All in all, worth a visit when u hav kids in tow given its location next to a great playground.

BEWARE abusive owner!! All of my friends, young & old are too scared to go there!!! Absolutely insane - such bad food and service. Possibly the worst restaurant in the world !!

Cons: Extremely overpriced menu. Long wait times and average food Pros: Lovey garden with a large fish pond that has koi in it, which you can ask for some food to feed. This cafe is coasting on is long gone reputation, and there are plenty of great places nearby that are cheaper, accept cards and have competent staff. Avoid.

Where has all the love gone??? Fantastic setting, an oasis on a busy street. This is where it unfortunately ends...... my partner went up to order for us, the ragu I ordered wasn't available and was thus told in a stern short or breathe voice, ordered the chicken Parma salad( big mistake), partner ordered the avo smash. Ok, Avo smash was literally avocado sliced up on top of store bought tip top bread, a half avo is worth what? Work it out, along side a $2 loaf of bread of which you get 2 slices and then to charge over $20, come on now..... my Parma salad was a coles bought piece of paper thin chicken placed on a plate with 8 slices of cucumber, again taking the ****. Chicken was dry and hard, cucumbers were limp. The whole lunch was over $50. I could have gone to Iva next door and bought a better lunch for the both of us for $5 and sat in the park for free. I don't like giving bad reviews but when you get ripped like that with rude service I had no choice. On a positive it honestly does have potential and can turn it around to something spectacular.
