Holy Grill - Mount Evelyn

Went there on a Saturday morning and got coffee and cake - you could get scones instead of the cake but only got one - I asked if I could pay extra for two which you could. The scones were the size of small biscuits and we both thought they tasted stale and couldn't eat them. We told the waitress and she said she would take them off the bill. When I walked inside to pay I noticed the scones were only $1.50 each compared to a slice of cake which was $9.00 so I have no idea why you only got one scone with the coffee and cake deal. Also the scones in the cabinet looked larger than what we had been served so I'm thinking we got served the leftovers from a batch a couple days back (the waitress did say they were baked two days ago). Really disappointing as we had been meaning to go there f for some time, and adding up the bill in my head as we walked back to the car I realized we had still paid for the scones. Really unhappy with the experience.

Went there for breakfast a couple of weeks ago. Had been there before and it was great, not sure if it has changed hands, but this time the meal was inedible.My husband and I had the big breakfast, it was big, and at first I thought "I am never going to eat all of that" but I didn't think it was because it was so awful I couldn't eat hardly any of it. The poached eggs were solid, the toast they were on was "soggy" from the water of the eggs, the bacon was fatty, under cooked and cold. The hash browns had been overcooked and were greasy and hard, They had no "vegan" options for my daughter in law. I was very disappointed and will never go there again.

This restaurant is wonderful. I had seen good reviews so had to try it. We ordered the holy hell burger and USA pork ribs (both gluten free) and holy hell, they were enormous. Of course we had to take some away. The food is really good quality and tasted amazing. I had an espresso martini and it was excellent. Thanks for the great food and beverage experience

Pleasant looking restaurant, for a Hamburger/grill place. The food was strong but not mind blowing, the chef did a cracker job of getting food out fast, the hold up was the jnr waitress, wasn't on the ball for seating people, nor taking a drinks order once seating clients. It took 25 mins to order a drink, and that was after tracking down the waitress, the snr waitress, new what she was doing and would have to pick up the slack of the jnr staff. This venue is losing revenue via poor drinks service, could have easily got 2 to 3 rounds out of me as it was a warm night. push drinks and push orders, simples!

The meal was well cooked. I chose the "Holy Hell" Hamburger. This in all sense was the "Goldilocks" burger, not too hot, not too mild, just right. The others in our group also seemed very happy with the food they had ordered. My wife had a very generous "Seniors Meal" of Atlantic Salmon with salad and chips. The staff were very easy to deal with and also very attentive. It is not a Maximes but for a nice stopover meal, it is hard to beat. Clean and efficient.
