The bartender told me they recently got new owners who have been spending a lot of time to renovate the place. The food is great! The Jalepeno filled pretzels are the best bar snack I've ever had!! They also have hot dogs and personal pizzas. If you come by on Thursday night, its ladies night with a great special. The womens restroom is the cleanest and most gorgeous bathroom I've ever seen in a bar. I got cheap drinks and had an amazing bartender. I will definitely be coming back many times.
New Ownership! Good service. Trying new things to bring in customers. Best bar stools!
I am here for the dumbest of reasons. Some people in our group wanted to play pull tabs, and they have them here. We actually walked out of the previous place just now because their pull tab machine was down. I'm not kidding. Aside from the inevitable gambling losses, Bilrus Bar is very friendly to your wallet. A bottle of the Final Absolution a smooth but powerful (10% alcohol! Michigan brew only set me back $5. A Red Stripe is only $1.50. The food menu is limited. Very limited. Like, ginormous soft pretzels, hot dogs, burgers, and...frozen pizza. They are up front about what the pizza is before you order. There's no grill for the burgers on the menu, but I will have to return to figure out how they make it. So, you have that, beer, and chips. Trust me when I say that this is enough. We ordered hot dogs and the ridiculous large soft pretzel. The dogs are all beef with the skin on, so there's a snap with every bite. Excellent, like your best day at the ballpark. Toppings can be mustard, ketchup, relish, onions, and Tostitos cheese dip. Wednesdays, they also have chili available. The pretzel was freshly baked in an oven, and it took a little while to make, but it was worth the wait. It was the diameter of a small pizza, and 3 thick. It's served with soft cheese dip, but we loaded up on the mustard. This is the best soft pretzel I've ever had, and it was plenty for a table to share. Country music played the whole time, and Engine Masters was on the TV. The folks here are friendly, and everyone seemed to know everyone. Prices are reasonable. The only downside is the limited menu, and if you're dumb enough to play pull tabs.
Kevin the owner was so friendly and gave so much information on the history of the bar. Great dive bar in Mt Clemens
The best place tonight! Very friendly. And cost effective. I want to be a regular here.
