Contribuiți la feedbackWe ate at this restaurant in 2013 and were blown away with the food and the service. We returned in August 2016 and were extremely disappointed. The restaurant must have obviously changed ownership/management. The restaurant has more of a cafe vibe rather than a some-what fine dining experience like it did the first time we went. The staff lack training and are too laid back. The menu is limited and there really isn't anything on there that most people wouldn't be able to make at home. The food was of poor quality and lacked flavor. If you are used to eating rather bland food you most likely won't have an issue with it. We will not return. So disappointing that this restaurant has turned out this way.
The entree was delicious - could have just eaten that all night! Pork belly was really good and meals were of decent size.
We finished our trip last year here as well and it seemed a lot more fine dining last year… I found they have dialled down the pretention this year… there menu is now fest or share which we loved! The atmosphere may have changed due to letting more children run loose around the restaurant (pick who doesn’t have kids). We had the gnocchi, rib eye and pork belly. All were stunning, the wine list was EXTREEMLY reasonable. Even with the noisy children at 3 tables we had a great night. Staff were really attentive and friendly.
We walked across the piste from our accommodation on the other side of Bourke st run tired and not too hungry so settled for a couple of entrees - against my better judgment so far from the sea my wife had the oysters but they were deliciously fresh and plump. I had the wagyu carpaccio (was called something else - perhaps roulade?)) which was sensational then the pork belly - very crisp skin and perhaps fractionally overcooked in the middle but nevertheless very tasty. The $9 BYO corkage option was very welcome. Finished with a sticky date pudding and 2 coffees -Staff pleasantly attentive . All in all well worth the visit and the $145 after a very ordinary night before. Food in ski resorts is generally a lottery but we strongly recommend Signature. Not top end but not far off.Lovely log fire.
When you call yourself Signature you tend expect high end and exciting, the food was good, the service was good and they were busy. The staff are very very good
