Cast Iron Cafe - Mount Angel

The Cast Iron Cafe exceeded all my expectations for dining. It was fantastic. I attempted to order online, but not everything they offered was available on the platform. After calling 5 times to place an order, I gave up and decided to order in person when I arrived. We opted for takeout to avoid dining in due to COVID. The wait was around 20 minutes, which was reasonable. We enjoyed a few bites in the car while the food was still hot and took the rest to go. We ordered multiple dishes to sample and share, since we had driven 45 minutes to get there. Our favorite dish was the peasant tart, which was delicious and flavorful. However, we were not fans of the children's cookies and gravy. The pulled pork mac was also excellent, but unfortunately our dog managed to eat more than half of it when left unattended. We also tried the BBQ fry platter, which was fantastic with the BBQ and Bourbon cheese. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We are big fans of their grill! The food is incredibly tasty and the service is very friendly.

This restaurant is delicious with excellent customer service. You cannot leave without trying the zimthahn; you will regret it if you do not try it. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing.

I was pleased with the extra love put into the food, I was craving biscuits and gravy and it was exceeded! It's worth the 40 min round trip for me and I will definitely take my friends and family to further enjoy this spot!
