Tlaquepaque Mexican Grill Mount Airy

I ordered takeout consisting of two plates of chimichangas and some queso. When I got home, my husband and I were excited to dig in, but it turned out to be the worst Mexican food I've ever experienced. I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant; it used to be my favorite spot before we moved away, aside from the taco truck. Is it under new management or something? The chimichangas seemed only half-cooked, the refried beans were unappetizing, and the queso was ice cold—I couldn’t even dip a chip into it. On a positive note, the staff who took my order were friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean, which is why I'm giving it two stars. Otherwise, if it were just based on the food, it would definitely be one star since I can’t give no stars at all. You all need to step up your game!

Delicious food! Be sure to try the pineapple with topolia, scallops, and shrimp topped with cheese sauce.

The food was good. The waitress was also very nice. Checked on us frequently. We had a party of 3 with 2 to-go orders. Our food came out pretty quick. The to-go orders took a lot longer than expected. But over all everything was great.

Found this gem during a stop over in Mt Airy and OMG amazing food and service!! I would go as far to say it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I had the Pellusa supreme and it was amazing. My husband had the pizza Mexicano and he raved about it. Now all we need is for the owner to open a place in St Augustine GL ?

They have the best hot salsa in town. I highly recomend.
