The Links At Challedon - Mount Airy

Good layout and friendly staff for sure. Unfortunately fairways hadn’t been cut for days (weeks? and tee boxes need some work. Greens were slower and shaggier than expected. Bit disappointed as this is supposed to be a great course. Hopefully the get things together

Our organization had our first annual golf tournament. We cannot thank John and Eric enough for helping us make this tournament perfect. I am happy to say we will be doing our tournament here every year. The staff were phenomenal!!!!!!Mission 10-42

Love the course and the layout it’s a very fun track. Just wish that they would spend a little bit more time on detail oriented things like the tee boxes. Also some of the flags are falling off when you take them out to putt. Also some of the bunkers have rocks in Them. But besides all that, its one of my favorite tracks in the area.

I really enjoy playing Challedon but the last 2 times we played there (Sunday prime time), it took close to 5 hours. They say they expect a 4-hour round, but the tee times are so close, it is impossible. Rangers are not effective like most courses these days.

Our round took almost 5 1/2 hours. Apparently, nothing was done ahead of us to speed up the round. I actually saw 5 golfers on the same green, but the ranger did not agree that there was a fivesome. I know what I saw. That should have been corrected. Also, a suggestion could be for the slow groups to skip a hole or 2. Yes, you sign up for 18 but there is also an obligation to know restrict others from playing the normal 4 hour or so round, which was shown on the golf cart signage as a target. ON a positive note, while my game was somewhat disrupted, the course is interesting.
