Although we were quite numerous, the staff was very helpful with the reservation, where we were given a private room and the chef also proposed a menu which was excellent, not only for adults but also for the kids. The place itself is beautiful with very nice ambiance, although not very easy to reach - we wondered whether we were not lost as we had to pass small roads. In any case, we were satisfied with the menu and the service. would definitely recommend it !
From the moment we arrived we were enchanted by the restaurant. There service was attentive and knowledgeable. The hostess Frederica was charming and cared about her clients without over imposing to ensure they were receiving the service they needed. The sommelier was helpful and guided us to a good choice of wine. The food was divine. From the first dish to the desert everything was prepared with not only an excellent presentation but also with flavours that lifted the food to another planet. Not only was it good but also intelligently thought out giving an adequate healthy balance. We spent an excellent evening and on reading another critic I can only ask if they ate in the same restaurant or simply chose badly. Finally the setting in the garden is beautiful. Thank you to the team for a great experience we will be back soon. We have not been for several years but this was clearly an error to miss a restaurant of such high quality.
Be ready for a feast gastronomique! Enjoyed every bite of the chefs menu - do yourself a favor and go for it.
This was a birthday dinner in an outdoors setting with beautiful views. The positive aspects were all to do with the food. Original, delicately assembled starters with unusual taste combinations (eg foie gras with a peanut puree) that worked remarkably well. Main courses that combined fish or meat (eg lobster or pigeon) accompanied by aesthetically attractive garnishes and vegetable 'constructions'. The dessert menu was varied and all in all the planning and execution of the menu was certainly deserving of the 'etoile'. The problem was it took 3 hours to serve 3 out of 4 starters, 4 main courses, two simple desserts and a cheese platter. In fact it took 1.25 hours to get the starter and another hour for the main course. We are very conversant with Michelin star restaurants and the timing by the kitchen was not up to standard - in fact the Maitre d'hotel asked if all was OK and 'pas tros de temps?' - a sure sign of embarrassment. A shame because the food was truly deserving of its Michelin status. Perhaps the chef de cuisine needs to inject a little more 'urgence' into his staff and when done this could climb the etoile ladder.
Went there with a large group (16 persons in total) for a birthday dinner. It was a relatively last-minute plan, and we were unsure whether it would be possible to arrange a dinner with that many people in just four days time. However, Ms. Larroumes (assistante commerciale) was very helpful in arranging everything in a very quick, effective and comprehensive way. She was very attentionate regarding everything, from our needs, our dietary restrictions, to our expectations. She made sure that we'd easily reach her, and that we'd be well-informed about everything prior to our event. She even made sure that we'd have an English-speaking personal waiter, and that the menu would be written both in French and English.Since the moment we arrived for the dinner, everything went beyond our expectations. Special thanks to Serguei (apologies if I misspelled his name), our personal waiter, for accommodating us throughout the event and for his impeccable service even until 1 a.m. Serguei was very courteous, professional, and helpful in accommodating all of our requests. Serguei's friendliness towards the children was particularly appreciated.The terrace and the private dining room were stunningly beautiful. The food was excellent - special thanks to the Chef, David Chauvac, for his well-thought personalised menu and our great discovery of French cuisine, from seafood and meat to French cheese and wine.All in all, everybody had a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend, especially for large-scale events. Au plaisir de vous revoir prochainement !
