Ferme Auberge Mas Lluganas - Mosset

Lunch after a 5 km hike up at Col de Jau. This a family run farm and restaurant that also has some rooms. We had the full menu trying their different products and it was delicious. The veal chop with Foie Gars was delicious while the pigeon was also very flavorful. The different pate and rilette that we tasted were excellent. We ended up buying a lot to take back home with us. The owner, Eric, is very engaging and knowledgeable about food, wine and the region. The terrace where we had our lunch was peaceful and had a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Lovely experience and you are sure to be eating the same cooking as the chef as the entire family was having their lunch just a few tables over. If you are in the region make sure you pass by. We will be back.

Ferme Auberge Mas Lluganas is a hotel located in the middle of the land, where we stayed 2 nights and also we had dinner in the restaurant. It is located in Mosset, a little town near Villefranche-de-Conflent. The day we had dinner we decided to eat the following dishes: délice de canard, magret de canard and selection of local cheeses. Really all dishes were fantastic, we enjoyed a lot and my daughter also ate a children menu, which she was like. I drank an excellent local red wine, so all dinner was great! Too in our journey in the French Pyrenees!

We had dinner at this restaurant twice.We loved the whole atmosphere and friendly owner who served us, was very sociable and helpful. The price for dinner was just 20 euro,but everything was very delicious,all meal was home made ,it was absolutely lovely!! You have to try also home made wine-it was amazing! We would definitely recommend this restaurant, the owner is attentive and helpful, the food extremely good, and lovely throughout.
