La Chamade - Morzine

Coming for many years to Morzine and each time celebrating a family event at the Chamade was always a happy event. Unfortunately this year, it wasn 't. The service was poor we were the first to enter and last to leave); the children 's menu was overly copious and gastronomic; the traditional raclette was revisited ; and the cost was pricey. The wine, Savoy Chardonnay, however was excellent !

Very disappointed when eating here this week, Service was incredibly slow and had to keep looking around to get someone’s attention. The pate to start was more like a pork pie and was very dry and had no taste. The snail puff pastry to start was lovely. The cheese fondue to OK, only came with bread, the meats were very bland and not good quality and very expensive as an extra to the fondue. Unfortunately the food and service did not match the price at all.

The only bread worth the detour to Morzine. The tradi wand is super good to accompany good mountain cheeses. The choice is there and the ice is good. I recommend
