The restaurant was packed when we arrived, we had to wait a minute until they cleaned a table for us. I started with chicken benches Wels decided for collar green beans for pages. The greens were tasteless, but the green beans were good. They were not overcooked, they were well fed. The chicken teeth were okay, but the catfish was absolutely amazing! It was perfectly crushed, perfectly cooked served cake hot with tartaric acid sauce on the side. I have to say the catfish was the best I ever had. It would have been the best, but over the table, my brother in the law was overcooked catfish, the dark brown, crunchy dry. Fortunately, my sister's catfish was like mine. When I reordered, I asked only Welse, like my brother in law. The server brought a plate stacked with catfish some looked beautiful, perfectly boiled while others burned on the border. One thing I really like at this restaurant is that they allow you to change your pages when you reorder. I tried the fried apples Coleslaw very much enjoyed both. The Coleslaw was finely chopped refreshing. The fried apples were still a bit crisp with a bang. I would return to this restaurant, but next time I will check the check before I paid because we arrived home looking at the receipt, we were charged twice for our drinks.
Fast service, even if it was busy. I had the Cajun Grilled Chicken with Coleslaw, baked potato and roasted apples with a sweet tea. It was so fast that I thought that the chicken would not be cooked, but it was tender and well cooked. The colleague was tasty, reminded me of my mother's colleague. The potato was boiled well. The cookie was soft. Unfortunately, they didn't do real butter just as butter. Sweet tea was delicious. The portions seemed small or maybe it was because they put my food on a large plate.
I'm withdrawing my last review. So excited to see things as they were. Excellent breakfast! Everything was perfect until the coffee! We will definitely be back!~ Chef dee What happened in a month time, the food was fantastic the first visit. But this time will be our last. If you can't stay in line with your menu (changes the engraving, the sausage, and the coffee was like drinking only creamer), I can't ask further whether it's good today or not? So, from my list you go. Sad to say from 5 to 0 if I had my way. ~ Chef dee
Always worth the visit. When we're in the Morristown area, our schedule is about breakfast at Hillbilly's Cabin. The food is always fresh and very tasty. My favorite is the western omelet with salsa, which is embroidered above. The vegetables are crisp and the meat is delicious. I usually add a page of home roasted potatoes and wheat bread toast. The waitresses are friendly and personal. The price is always right. This morning I took my wife and oldest daughter. Our bill was just $25. We tend to engrave towards smaller mother and pop operations. Such a refreshing change from the run of the big franchise restaurant chains.
Your typical biscuits and gravy homestyle type of restaurant. Massive menu full of anything you can imagine. Burgers, pancakes, spaghetti, tater tots. Better than the rest in town and always full up. Also one of the last places to serve oatmeal.
