Mercetta - Mornington

Food was all good. Service was excellent. I loved the coffee there. Overall, I like this place. Would love to go back there if I am in Mornington again.

First visit and had booked outside on sidewalk and didn't realise there was seating out the back where I could take my dog they changed for me so all good

My young son is a coeliac, we made this clear with the waitress upon ordering. Ordered poached eggs on gluten free toast and it arrived with hash browns also on the plate. The toast wasn’t buttered, so it was extremely dry. The waitress got the hash browns removed from the plate, but we were worried about cross contamination. Asked if the milkshakes were gluten free, waitress went to check but never got back to us, we were served the drink though, so just assumed it must have been gluten free. My son woke up the next day very unwell, couldn’t go to school. We understand eating out is a bit of a gamble with a coeliac and restaurants get busy, but we would so appreciate there being more support and care from staff. The wait staff were friendly, the food was ok and the cafe is cosy and comfortable. I would visit Mercetta again, just not with a coeliac.

We are regular diners at Mercetta. It’s the place to go for great food plus we can hear each other’s conversation. The staff are always super friendly and attentive. Love it.
