Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

When it was time to check out, there were nine people in line, and I had to request that another register be opened. They took my payment without a word—no one asked if everything was okay, and there wasn’t even a simple "thank you" or an invitation to return. This will be my last visit to this location, or any Cracker Barrel for that matter!

Terrible experience. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet it took an hour for our food to arrive. I understand that staffing issues are common, which is true for many places. On a positive note, the waitress was friendly. However, the biscuits she brought were as hard as a rock! I ordered the steak and shrimp platter, but the steak was so unappetizing that I couldn't eat it, even drenched in A1 sauce. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant!

Today, my husband ordered eggs over medium, and they arrived overcooked. I requested well-done scrambled eggs, but they came out looking like a flat omelet, brown on both sides. The biscuits are consistently too hard, likely because they're baked for too long, and the gravy is always served cold. We even had to ask our waitress for coffee refills. Worse yet, 45 minutes after our meal, my husband experienced severe diarrhea. Additionally, I’ve noticed they’ve removed several items from the menu, such as lima beans, chicken and gravy, turkey bacon, and turkey sausage. The regular bacon is also different; it used to be thickly sliced but is now very thin. It feels like they keep taking away beloved vegetable dishes and fan-favorites while adding more and more alcoholic beverages. This restaurant is meant to be a family establishment, and I genuinely believe there are serious issues in the kitchen that need to be addressed immediately. Without improvements, this Cracker Barrel risks losing loyal customers. Please take these concerns seriously!

I wish I could remember waitress name. She was so sweet and attentive. We had breakfast. The only thing that could have been better were the biscuits which were a bit dry. The gravy was great on them. The hashbrown casserole was amazing.

We went here for lunch to celebrate a birthday in the family and what a terrible idea. First of all, they put two large tables together for only 6 of us and we were very far away from each other. Server was nice, but did not see her very much. Food took forever, but I do not mind if it is worth it. However, salads took longer than regular dishes to come out. Then after a long wait she told us that my husband’s grilled chicken salad was burnt and they would have to redo it. We cancelled his salad order because we were ready to go. Waited a very long time for refills and the check. They finally came with the check and brought his salad that was remade, which we had told them just to cancel. They also left that on the bill at full price. Very disappointed in our visit today.
