La Porchetta - Moreland

La Porchetta is in my neighbourhood and is well known for a cheap dinner (so much so that the chain spread from this store of humble beginnings).

Went with a friend recently for dinner Ordered a chicken pizza and when it came out I could immediately tell by the smell of it I wouldn't like it.

La Porchetta's are everywhere now, a far cry from the original Carlton place they are now massive joints with thousands of people in them. The food is still great and really quick, and it's not too badly priced. Always very noisy though which is the downside. Get the pizza with the lot (hold the anchovies) and the tortellini carbonara.

I used to go to La Porchetta regularly but I don't go there anymore. After two uncooked gnocchi bolognese meals and a burnt pizza I decided to give up. It's very sad as the food used to be quite good.

I haven't been to La Porchetta restaurant for some time, and I guess I wasn't surprised to find that not much has changed. Personally, I like the way they make their pizzas, and I wasn't disappointed. Other people I was dining with had Salmon and Pasta and another of us also had Pizza. We were all very happy. Service was friendly and quick.
