I'm not sure what the previous reviewer, JBR, was talking about four years ago, but it seems like they may have been intoxicated or confused. I ordered the Komnst Borscht, a delicious cabbage borscht, followed by farmer sausage and cottage cheese perogies with a side of kielke noodles. The prices were reasonable and the food was great. For dessert, I had rhubarb crisp with ice cream while my friend had a fruit bowl and Saskatoon pie with ice cream. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the quiet atmosphere was perfect for conversation. Kopper Kettle is a great place to stop for a meal before heading back to Winnipeg. We will definitely be returning.
I went to this restaurant for dinner last night and my companion and I were the only two people there. We were greeted by a very young girl who informed us that there was no chef available, so she could only prepare breakfast items. Despite the limited menu, she was very sweet and made some recommendations. I ordered the pre-made soup which was delicious, but the sandwiches we ordered afterwards were not as good. The restaurant appeared dirty and gloomy, and we were not even offered utensils or napkins, which I consider to be basic service. In my opinion, they should probably consider closing down.
Service was not fast. Took an hour to get our breakfast. Missed part of our order Restaurant was empty. No reason for this. We were only 5 ppl. Food was cold.
The restaurant was clean. The server was very pleasant. My husband had the fish and chips with potato borscht. I had the ham cheese benedict omelete that came with hash browns. Everything thing was very tasty.
Stopped in for a quick lunch. The place is neat and clean. Service was pleasant and professional. We had the perogy and sausage special. The perogies were great! Sausage was a bit bland for our tastes but still very good. Good portion size for the price. Will definitely return.
