Dolce Forno - MORBEGNO

Really nice place, with convenient parking and many tables outside with stoves for cold days. Aperitif minimal but very pleasing with the spritz, hot chocolate without infamy or praise. Exquisite pastries with excellent table service, which follows you to the counter to help you choose. The account is perfect, very balanced to the products offered and enormously compensates for the staff's rudeness that at the time of payment, because of a lack of reading of the card, chooses to give up the pos in the hand to the customer and following the transaction made begins with then before it did not go because you misplaced the card, it can be sinned that the card had been inserted by the same person who commented. not everyone can work in contact with customers, a sin not to improve these aspects.

While staying on Lake Como we journeyed up to Morbegno for the day by train, what a special day of discovery we had, shortly after arriving we made a beeline for Bar Pasticceria Dolce Forno on Via San Rocco. It was perfect, large display cabinets of Italian treats, cakes of all sizes, slices, biscuits, pastries, I was in Italian heaven, choosing was difficult. Staff were very patient as I perused the cabinets, finally deciding on a double shortbread biscuit half dipped in chocolate and my OH selected a lemon sponge slice. Coffee was hot and strong, just the way I like it. Service was spot on, staff were most helpful with our limited Italian. Prices were a real treat, we loved our short time at Bar Pasticceria Dolce Forno, if only there were more like it in other locations around Lake Como.

We only stopped for our morning cappuccino and brioche on the way to take the olives to the press. They are a complete bakery, not for bread, but for pastries. Both the cappuccino and brioche were very good. Good enough that we bought some extra for the guys helping us transport the olives. There is parking in the rear which makes it easy. The variety of pastries and cakes is really good. If the other items following quality to the brioche this morning you will not be disappointed. Enjoy Harry

The cakes and pastries are very good and they have the best prices in town. It is very busy at weekends so be prepared to wait. Service could be better. No smiles in the house or any attention, just what it is required by a waiter.

Terrific selection of cakes, pastries and sweets, everything from delicious brioches to refreshing creamy gelato full of flavour… most enjoyable! Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful service highly recommended!
