The Coffee Club Morayfield Super Centre

I visited this restaurant for lunch on Saturday and I couldn't be more disappointed. I ordered a bacon and tomato toasted sandwich along with a coffee. The coffee was served in a takeaway cup, and the toast was dry—no butter, no sauce, and completely flavorless. I was informed that they never butter their toast. The waitress who took my order was rude and unpleasant, even though I apologized for raising any concerns. I will definitely not be returning; I’d rather sit outside and buy takeaway from any of the other options available.

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and I brought my kids who enjoy Coffee Club. Unfortunately, we were taken aback by how rudely we were treated by one of the staff members as we were trying to get settled. Another staff member was considerate enough to suggest joining two tables to accommodate our family of six. However, just as we were arranging this, a woman from behind the counter shouted, “You can’t sit there, you’ll be blocking the walkway.” No alternative seating was offered, and we found ourselves standing in the middle of the restaurant, completely ignored. So, we decided to leave. When it comes to breakfast, the overall experience is essential, and we’ve always found the staff at Coffee Club to be friendly and accommodating. This was a real disappointment for us, and it’s not surprising to see why this place has received poor reviews.

I ordered a toastie, ham cheese and egg, firstly it came out as chicken cheese avocado, and next it came out as ham cheese and tomato which ended up being gross, the bread was dry and there was no flavour to this toastie at all, I didn’t want to say anything cause I could tell the poor male waitress was being abused by his coworkers and was having a bad day. The girl making coffees had the most sour look on her face and no one at all looked happy to be there. My partner ordered calamari which clearly wasn’t cooked long enough as the batter was soft when you want it crunchy, the chips were even gross! How do you mess chips up? it was an all round bad experience and I definitely won’t be back in a hurry.

Had lunch there today and it cost $30.00 for chips/nuggets, 1 milkshake 1 kids milkshake. The girl serving did not smile and didn’t seem to want to be there, very rude. I received a warm milkshake and when asked for a cold one it was slightly better and the girl seemed to be annoyed. The milk was actual room temperature and was shocked to think this is their standard considering also that it was $8 and in a small glass. There seemed to be No aircon working and thought they could at least have a couple of fans to compensate. The floor and tables were dirty where we sat. There was 2 staff front of house and 2 out the back, it was 1pm and not busy at all so our food came out at a good pace but we asked if we could change the bowl of tomato sauce for another gravy and was then told she couldn’t do that or it will be an additional cost. We declined as the gravy was 95% water, runny and no flavour. The whole experience from start to finish was disappointing to say the least. We finished up and went to leave and the girl that had served us earlier swooped in to clean our table without saying goodbye. Safe to say We won’t be going to A Coffee Club again.

Filthy dirty tables so dirty, asked for ours to be cleared wiped down, done so badly had to take cloth do it myself! OMG the filth dropped food all over the floor under the tables was revolting. They brought tables in from outside covered in food matter not one was wiped down before they piled them on top of one another. Their excuse was they'd been busy only had 4 staff! No one in there when we were there, certainly could have been swept wiped clean. They didn't even bother to sweep before bringing tables in, despite protesting they did it at the end of the day! SO NOT good enough makes you shudder to think what their food hygiene is like if that's how they're prepared to keep their cafe area. Happy to take peoples money, but provide them with a dirty hovel to eat in! Very low breed attitude!
