Contribuiți la feedbackWe didn't stay overnight here, but we stopped for lunch while our motorcycle club was riding through Yellowstone. It was raining pretty hard, and we stopped for void and to get out of the rain and to see if we could wait out the storm. The food was ok, but the service was great. There were 14 of us, and they had enough tables open to seat us all and accommodate our wet gear from the rain. We really appreciated that.
I booked a trip for my parents to stay at the Hatchet Resort as they traveled through Yellowstone. My parents arrived on Sunday evening and as they entered their room there was rat. When my mother went to go speak to the manager, the manager did not care to help with the situation and told them he had no other rooms. My parents took matters into their on hands and my trapped the rat inside the bathroom and still no sense of urgency to resolve the issue from the manager. Then he said, the only options my parents had were 1) stay in a room that clearly had not been used in while and had septic/sewer backup issues (terrible smell) or 2) stay where the rat was (with no cleaning services done). Needless to say, they opted for option 1 and dealt with the septic/sewer issues on the first night. Consequently, they checked out first thing the next morning.Totally unacceptable how this was handled by management. If management would have handled this differently, I would be writing a different review. To make matters worse, the manager is unwilling to reimburse/credit the additional two nights even through my parents had to book another hotel. This matter has been elevated to my credit card fraud department for the two nights my parents are unable to stay.Would not recommend whatsoever.
During our stay at the Hatchet Resort in Teton this July, my wife and I encountered a few issues that left us disappointed with the overall experience. Upon arrival, while my wife checked in at approximately 4 pm, I ventured to the restaurant to review the menu. As I entered through the front door and picked up a menu, a staff member, who appeared to be a manager doing paperwork at a nearby table, reacted defensively and asked how I did you get in? When I explained that I entered through the front door and wanted to look at the menu, she responded sarcastically, attributing the unlocked door to the cleaning staff's oversight. Her demeanor and tone were incredibly rude, leading me to decide against dining at the establishment that evening. I requested her name, which she declined to provide. A couple of encounters at the front desk were more inline with what you would expect at a gas station. It appears that the ownership does not want to be in the hospitality business. Location was ok except that its essentially a roadside motel with log cabin siding in the $300 per night range during high season. In addition to the unwelcoming encounter, we were assigned a handicap room without prior notification, which would have been acceptable had there been no other available options. While we observed the maintenance staff placing black plastic tape between the bathroom and the main room. After showers we noticed issues with the bathroom's shower installation. The water extended approximately two feet into the bathroom due to inadequate installation. Furthermore, we observed numerous cracked pieces of laminate tile in the bathroom and dirty carpeted floors in the main room. The room itself was warm, and there was no nearby outlet or window with sufficient trim to accommodate the placement of a fan.To be fair, the beds were comfortable, and the room boasted appealing decorations. However, the overall cleanliness and condition of the bathroom and floors left much to be desired.
Room was stinking. Saw mosquitoes all over.No complimentary breakfast for the people who stay at resort. All in all it is a resort for a price at no good quality of service with all super pricey.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hatchet Resort.Pros: the rooms were so cute. Very clean and conveniently laid out. We booked a suite and I’m so glad we did! It was worth the price! The head housekeeper (I didn’t get his name, but we had a window fall in our room and the front desk said they were sending the housekeeping manager) was super professional and kind. Did a thorough job and is top notch. I felt like the housekeeping department was tight and didn’t miss any details. The front office was officiant, professional and pleasant. Always there when we needed. We dined 3 times on property and the food was very good. Excellent breakfast and dinners. Dining room staff seemed a little spread thin, but our dinner server each night couldn’t have been nicer.Cons: really none. I’m glad we stayed! I was a little concerned it was too far off the beaten path, but it’s not too far from the junction. Would have been a breeze w/out the construction delay.
