New Delhi Bistro Baagan - Moraga

The food at this restaurant is excellent, and the family who owns and operates it is lovely.

The restaurant is friendly and the food is very flavorful. It's a fantastic place.

I was thrilled to discover a delicious Indian restaurant in my neighborhood! New Delhi Bistro offers a unique menu that includes vegan options, as well as classic favorites such as Chicken Tikka Masala. It appears to be a popular spot for takeout, with most dishes pre-prepared, especially during lunchtime when I visited. The restaurant is conveniently located in a strip mall with ample parking. The only downside is that the prices are relatively high for the portion sizes. I was left a bit unsatisfied after spending $13 on a rice and curry dish. However, considering the limited dining options nearby, I don't think this will be a major deterrent for most customers.

The chicken tikka was water-y and lacking any substantial flavor. And the portion was half what every other restaurant of the same ilk serves (with no substantial savings in price). Fortunately, the nann was a real bright spot and enabled me to sop up the watery mess and get the tender (but also lacking flavor) chicken down. Won't be back.

This café is an oasis in a desert of a shopping mall. Mostly vegetarian food a few chicken and lamb offerings. They are sometimes out of certain menu items, so I recommend calling ahead to make sure they have what you want.
