Lotus - Mooresville

We stopped by this restaurant on our way home and found several options for Asian cuisine in the area, but decided to give this place a try first. We ordered the crispy orange beef, spicy garlic beef, crab Rangoon, salt and pepper calamari, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was delicious! I especially liked the calamari, though I would have preferred it to be served as heads and rings.

I’m really upset that this place was sold! I’ve been coming here for three years, but after calling today, I noticed not only that the prices have gone up, but the new owner is really taking advantage. They now charge extra to remove any ingredients from your food or rice, even for something like pork! Not everyone wants pork in their dishes. If it’s made to order, why not just leave it out without charging extra? And don’t even get me started on the interior—it smells really unpleasant now. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this restaurant anymore. It’s just not what it used to be.

The staff here is very friendly, and the food is excellent! You must try the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops and the Egg Rolls with Hot Mustard from the kitchen. Just be cautious with that mustard!

Wonderful place for a quiet meal. Great food excellent service. You never feel rushed
