We liked their food.We had fried rice - excellent Szcheuan chicken - beyond excellentCrispy skin chicken with ginger and shallots - no words to describe how good that was. (If you are reading this I recommend this dish!!!!)BBQ pork in plum sauce - bit of a let down...it was a little hard.
Ventured out to Golden Rose for a sister date tonight and had such a lovely time. Staff were attentive and courteous opening the door for us on arrival and dishing out individual serves of duck pancakes and rice, I could not fault them. Our mains were just as delicious as our starters and their lemon lime and bitters were on point. Shout out to our waiter Howard, thanks for the banter and incredibly accurate fortune cookies! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tasty chinese meal eat in or takeaway.
Had dinner last night with good friends who are regulars and first brought me here 6 years ago.Golden Rose has maintained its high standards for good food and service over the years - they are open every day of the week for lunch and dinner except for Sunday lunch. Dine in and take out are equally popular. We were over 25 diners for a weekday night while I noticed a few people walking in for take outs.We shared dishes - The Mongolian Sizzling Lamb, Honey Prawns and Szechuan Chicken with Boiled Rice - ample portions for the three of us and good quality. They offer an extensive menu.The restaurant is licensed but allow BYO for Wine subject to corkage.Good food, reasonably priced and with efficient service in homely surrounds - this is a winning combination.
Lovely place, fantastic food and beautiful staff. Always greeted with a smile! :) I love the combination short soup, but really everything is nice and fresh!
Had a wonderful night out with our friends. Food was so nice and the service fantastic. Will definitely go again. Decor is a bit dated but the food more than makes up for this.
