Contribuiți la feedbackJae's was booked for a very special family occasion, and was under recently new management. The venue itself was perfect for the occasion, but the management was not.John, the owner, was slippery about guaranteeing exclusive use of the venue for the evening, despite a guest numbers in excess of 100. I visited the restaurant a week before the event to get a gauge of the quality of food and service. We had a table of 3, and there was only one other table, which had 6 guests. After waiting an hour for our food, I asked what the delay was, only for them to respond that we had placed our order just after the "big table", but it should be out soon. If they can't prepare 9 covers in under an hour, we were clearly going to have problems with a guest list of a hundred- and we did.John had insufficient champagne glasses for the evening, and made no attempt to rectify the situation, so my father had to nip out hours before the start of the evening to hire some. We had absolutely no help in setting up the venue for the evening. We set all the tables, decorated them and arranged tables. John showed no initiative in even offering help, but made sure that he took photos of the venue once we had finished....To keep things simple, we had arranged a simple menu- some nibbles upon arrival, no entrees, alternate mains of only two dishes, and we had provided a cake for dessert. The meals finally arrived WELL OVER TWO HOURS AFTER THEY WERE SCHEDULED, which caused my father considerable anxiety- an appalling outcome given all the planning which had gone into the event. The chicken was nice, but the Beef Wellington was poor- the base of the pastry was cremated and the beef was tough.Staff failed to clear any of the tables and service was slow and poor.DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK THIS VENUE FOR LARGE PARTIES. THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT UP TO IT.
Small and comfortable, with spicy, tasty food Bi Bim Bab from $9-12.
We are big fans of Korean cuisine and this restaurant did not let us down.
I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and found the food, prices, and ambience to be decent. However, there was one occasion where I received an undercooked fish dish that took a long time to recook, resulting in everyone else finishing their meals before I received mine. The restaurant occasionally hosts themed events, but I was not a fan of their drag queen bingo night, as it changed the atmosphere from family-friendly to one I am not interested in visiting.
On the night of the event, we faced even more challenges. John did not have enough champagne glasses, leading to my father having to find some last minute. We were left on our own to set up the venue, as John provided no assistance. The meals were served over two hours late, causing stress and disappointment. The Beef Wellington was poorly prepared and service was inefficient. In conclusion, I strongly advise against booking this venue for large gatherings. The management is not equipped to handle such events.
