MIYAKITO - Montrouge

Very nice convenient corner location, great food at a reasonable price! Very friendly staff, took great care of us!

What a wonderful surprise find this was on a cold Parisian evening after a long business travel. The food was absolutely tasty with so much selection it was difficult to know where to start! Prices are around 4-5€ on average for 6 pieces, the more expensive weighing in at 10€ (must be some sushi! We had a total of 6 dishes for 30€ and it was worth every cent. Atmosphere was a little Nigel no mates with the restaurant almost empty on a Thursday night, but it was very cold outside. The waitress seemed to abandon us a couple of times. I guess she figured we 'd ordered a dish and that was her job done! She hadn 't even asked if we wanted a drink when we had been seated, waiting instead to come take our order 10 minutes later. All in, it was a great meal which made up for the lack of attention to service. I will definitely be coming back.

Open late which was a bonus as we arrived on a late train. Good, attentive service and the sushi arrived in good time. Fresh sushi sashimo and the brochettes were also good. We had the royal menu which fed a family of four sufficiently. The don 't put wasabi on the sushi itself which leads me to believe the food in general is geared to a Western palate. Also the sushi rice isn 't prepped in rice vinegar nor do they have green top or low sodium soy (North Americans you know where I am coming from). For these ommissions I am leaving off a star. Otherwise, very good value for money especially in a city like Paris!

Our family of 4 really needed Sushi fix. So we ordered 88 piece sushi platter and it was way more than enough for us. Cut of fish had good thickness for Nigiri and different rolls were good and creative like the ones you see in the United States, such as salmon with cream cheese, California rolls, rolls with fried onion sprinkled, and traditional rolls such as Salmon rolls were included. The meal came with Miso soup and salad. We like it so much that we went there twice during our stay in Montrouge. I am giving 4 stars simply because I have not had anything else but this sushi platter and do not know what other dishes taste like.
