You can walk all around the pretty lake before or after lunch. They do a set price business lunch or a variety...of tapas to share amongst a group. Sitting outside you are looking straight down the lake at Napoleon 's Nose, a feature in the mountains in the distance. Cordon Bleu it ain 't; but on a sunny day with a family group it 's a great place for a tasty mid-day meal.
Don’t bother to try and eat. Service and food really bad. Even though the restaurant was less than 25% capacity we were unceremoniously moved from a four seater to a two seater even though the it was nearly the end of lunchtime. Waited an hour...for a really substandard meal. Left most of it on the table in disgust. Many, many better places to eat on this planet.
Not to eat. service and eat really bad. even if the restaurant was less than 25% capacity, we were moved from a four seat unzeremoniell to a two seat, although it was almost the end of the midday period. for an hour. for a truly substandardized meal. the greatest part of it on the table in disgust. many, many better places to eat on this planet.
We arrived at 7pm, having booked, we were told grumpily we open at 7.15pm. No tables were set up on the terrace. We sat down inside with the menus. As it was 38'c we asked to sit outside. We were the only customers at that...time. Moaning the whole time place mats, cutlery etc were thrown onto the table. No offer of taking an apperotive. We waited a long time for service, and were about to get up and leave when olives and bottle of water were slammed onto the table. The food itself was middling fine but having lived in France for 5 years I know the price was on the high side. The appalling service continued throughout the meal. It was almost laughable, Fawlty Towers. When settling the bill we commented on the poor service, and were told it was because we asked to sit outside looking over the lake. I hasten to add that every following customer asked to sit outside, and the two tables occupied inside were simply due to no more tables.
The first impressions of a black serving restaurant outside are racist and immediately disturbs me and my children...expandable the owner is not interested in the welfare of his customers in which he has money that gives a damned setting! let's wait for time...door way, where I politely asked about our reserved table. a chaotic restaurant, owner also clear was already a because on the water, not sure? the waiters wouldn't make any eye contact with us, totally ignored us and began to serve us a Spanish family that came! eating looked terrible. we really didn't want to be demolished, or we wanted to wait for hours for a few mediocre food, so we got the hell out. it's a pity that the restaurant location is great, but for how long these owners keep customers back is someone the advice?
