Contribuiți la feedbackI always love the delicious food served at Vivoli every time I visit. Located in the heart of the World Trade Building, I am a loyal customer of this restaurant. Marie Claire and her husband, who is a skilled chef, are always welcoming and friendly to the guests. Easily accessible via the underground city or through the beautiful Square Victoria Park, Vivoli is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Italian cuisine. Ron
The menu offers a variety of options, including pasta dishes that looked delicious. However, since I had dinner plans at an Italian restaurant later in the day, I chose a grilled vegetable salad with grilled chicken. The portion was generous and the ingredients were fresh. The grilled vegetables were plentiful and the chicken was well-seasoned. A basket of bread with crispy crust and butter was served before my salad. The service was friendly and efficient, although the staff did not speak fluent English. It is advisable to know a few French words to assist with the ordering process. Despite the language barrier, I found the dining experience at Via Vivoli to be superior to the average restaurant in Montreal. I would label it as "very good" and plan on returning to try some of their pasta dishes in the future. Additionally, they offer gelato and cappuccino for a sweet ending to your meal.
We decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant. I ordered a Caesar salad and my wife had the lasagne. The food was just average, my Caesar salad was made with regular lettuce instead of romaine. Our bill came to $44 and we decided to leave a $5 tip, as we only had $100 bills. The waitress insisted that we were obligated to tip 15% and also pay taxes, which is not true. I don't mind tipping, but being confronted over a small amount like $1.60 was not a pleasant experience and may prevent us from coming back in the future.
A fun place for lunch on the terrace. Feels like outside! Sun without cold!!! Some of the servers don't speak big English, but this is a French speaking province, so I don't expect it and it was never a problem... for me. Smoked Salmon Salad and a few glasses of wine and life is good!
Lunch with my father, in the heart of Old Montreal, in the nice Centre Mondial du Commerce building. Nice choice of French and Italian food. Great service. Just rightfully priced. A bit noisy if you take the terrasse in the hallway of the Centre, but...the view and ambiance are great especially if there is a football game on the big screens not too far.
