I went to this restaurant with friends for drinks and we sat outside. The location was cool. The waitress in charge of our section had short blonde hair and glasses, but she seemed bored every time we asked for information. She just wanted us to keep drinking. Before leaving, I asked for water and she brought us glasses that were very dirty (with cigarette ashes inside). When I pointed this out to her, she blamed us and refused to admit her mistake. She insisted that we had to leave at least a 15% tip, as if it were mandatory. We paid the required amount but I felt it was unfair. When I mentioned this, she became rude and told me to "get over it". I have been to many pubs before but never experienced this kind of behavior. The place is nice and worth visiting, but I recommend avoiding this particular waitress if she is still working there.
Stopped by for a few drinks and snacks with friends. Great little terrasse on Mont Royal that was not yet full at 7:00 PM. Selection of beer was reasonably good and prices on drink were okay. Had a kilo of chicken wings in a fabulous sauce, and tortilla-like chips with homemade salse and hummus. Both items were excellent. While prices are not cheap they are pretty reasonable all things considered. The location, food and ambiance are great for a casual evening out.
I visited this restaurant with a friend and it is the ideal spot for a gathering. The decor is fantastic, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service was exceptional. Thank you to the staff. We tried the POUTINE MAISON (poutine with meatballs) for $10, which was a great price on Mont Royal street. It was delicious, especially when paired with a couple of beers.
The busy and slow service at Saint Sacrement used to be worth my time because the food was good and the buzz fueled many a-night of merry-making. But no more. Usually a kilo of wings is a huge amount of food but on my most recent viist, we were given barely a half-kilo but charged for the full kilo. Even when I inquired I was told that we had received the full amount, no doubt about it. Well I know what was in front of me. For the price we paid and the slow service, Saint Sacrement is absolutely not worth it. Keep walking in either direction on Mont Royal and you'll be fine.
