Taqueria Arturo - Montréal

I stumbled upon this restaurant late one evening and decided to give it a try. We began with their homemade chips and guacamole, which were delicious, and washed it down with ice cold pints of beer. We finished by sharing from their wonderful selection of tacos. The service was great, and as we were leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were incredibly friendly and thanked us for stopping by. The atmosphere was friendly and nice, and the Mexican food was authentic. I will definitely return next time I visit Montreal.

Bien situé sur la rue Prince-Arthur près du boulevard Saint-Laurent Taqueria Arturo est une belle découverte. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et l'atmosphère était sympathique et chaleureuse. Le menu different les distingue. Les tacos au canard ou au porc à la cuisson lente faite dans un fumoir sont excellent ( perdre un accompagnement en plus si on a bon appétit.). Pour ma part j'ai pris un burritos au steak de flanc qui était succulent et bourratif. Le tout accompagné d'un pichet de Margarita que nous avons partagé. Nous allons y retourner c'est sûr.

We are staying next door so wanted something different. The service was a little slow but there were only two servers and was very busy. My eldest son had the burrito which he said was great. My young son had two tacos to start with and then two more. He said the brisket ones were great. My husband had tacos also-the duck and brisket and agreed the beef ones are best.Only had one type of red wine and they had no white. Plenty of beers.Nice evening but don't go if you are in a hurry.

The food was fantastic and the ambiance was great. I really liked the refreshing "iced-T" drink and the frijoles burrito. Our waiter, Benjamin, was also excellent!

Sunny Sunday morning, walking through Prince Arthur and we read "Mexican Brunch!"... great! The restaurant nice, the music nice, the brunch menu nice. We ordered coffee (I think the waitress went and harvest the coffee, it took forever to bring it to the table); then, we asked for a breakfast burrito and huevos divorciados.I need to note that there were no more clients in the site. The coffee ($3 with refill) came in 10 minutes, after 15 min and no coffee refill we had to find her to ask for refill (2 times). The food came around 25 minutes later, she brought the food but no utensils, took her 5 minutes to find some. Why?Huevos divorciados are called like this because 1 egg is covered in green salsa and the other in red one (they are divorced eggs!). The menu described then fine: 2 fried tortillas, 2 eggs, green salsa, red salsa, black beans puree, avocado. What did we get? 2 fried tortillas, 2 eggs, NO green salsa, NO red salsa, NO black beans puree (only cooked whole black beans), NO avocado… but under the eggs a mayo/cream sauce with CHIPOTLE. The waitress confirmed the cook is not Mexican and she added “well, we just started with the brunch so we are learning, the cook has a different dish description than the menu ”. Really? Somebody needs to train the waitress and the cook. The burrito was ok and maybe the tacos are ok, if you want to be in a pleasant atmosphere with no Mexican food or service expectations, this is an option.
