Talay Thai - Montréal

I have loved this restaurant for a very very long time. Best Pad Thai and Coconut Soup! Sadly I have to give a bad review because the place is filthy! There is nothing more disappointing and unsavory than a dirty unkept restaurant. The tables have NEVER been moved to clean the floor. The place is gross and disorganized with junk around the counter. I will sadly not be going back unless this is dealt with.

Although there were many options on the menu, all 4 dishes that we got all kinda tasted the same. One had peanuts, one came with noodles, but the sauces were too similar.We also asked for things to be very spicy, and you would expect a Thai restaurant to be able to honor that request, but all of it was incredibly mild.

WORST Pad thai I’ve ever had in my life!! Although I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, I cannot help but do so here. It was just plain bad and inedible food. I NEVER waste food, but I had to throw it away.

I don't like leaving bad reviews for restaurants but this place was so bad that I had to make an exception. I placed a fairly large order for delivery and every single item was so bad that I couldn't finish it (had planned to eat some items now and some later, ended up trying them all in the vain hopes that one would actually be edible). The Tom Kha was just coconut broth with three chunks of chicken thrown in. The fried tofu was soggy. The coffee was very grainy and slightly rancid tasting. And the drunken noodles, while not as bad as the other items, were shockingly bland. Judging by the photos and the other reviews, it appears their in-house dining is way better than their delivery service.

YUCK! Worst phad Thai I have ever had. I had two bites and threw it out. The second bite was to confirm it was as bad as the first bite told me it was. My mistake. Should have been 1 bite. Totally awful food. What a rip off.I used to go to this place often before covid and will never go back. Gross.
