I was switched off first when I visited because I was served cold biryani (it was half an hour before closing time and I thought it was crazy to do this. I went to get another warm meal (which was just best good). But I took the Biryani home and heated it up and ate some of them later in the night. In 1/4 of the plate I have to spit out 3 cardamom pans and 1 or 2 star anise pans. The thing is very well seasoned! I don't mean spicy as in hot (although you can also order it hot spicy). I mean, the actual spices aren't being sucked. I was so shocked how delicious it was that I went back the next day, Lol! I went with a friend, earlier a day, and the Biryani was hot this time (thanks to goodness! and made very fresh. My friend has a big one and I have a rule. My friend's court had a whole stupidity in it! Mine was also generous with the lamb, but there was not room for a whole shaft in my container. It was just fantastic. Service was top notch. The Lord who served us was part of the owner's family and took great interest and pride in our experience. He explained the poster of scenes of her family business at home in Pakistan and was generally very nice and accommodating. Not only would I go back, I'll probably go back every time I go to Montreal. I don't know how good their other dishes are, but if you want Biryani, I'd say you'd miss if you don't go. They're safe for their name!
I have ordered delivery from this restaurant for the second time and both experiences were great! My first order was impressive with fast delivery and professional service, not to mention the delicious food. The prices are also very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. I decided to order again a week later and although there was a mistake with the quantity of samosas in my order, the restaurant quickly rectified the situation by sending me a new set of samosas and a drink. I appreciate their honesty and quick response to the mistake. I highly recommend this place for an excellent dining experience. Place your order here!
Located in downtown Montreal, the place is an immersion in Pakistan. Great music and service. Delicious classic pakistani food too! Nice place!
We were in search of a quick meal and stumbled upon this restaurant offering biryani, which sounded appealing. We decided to try the biryani rice with a selection of 3 vegetarian options, all of which were delicious, although one was a bit too oily for my liking. The lentils were especially tasty. The restaurant's name includes "Student," but the only connection seemed to be the serving of food on metal trays like in a cafeteria. The service was friendly and quick, and the portions were generous enough for the two of us to share without any leftovers, except for the bread.
I am a huge biryani fan, went in to this place with pretty low expectations but my husband and myself pretty much got addicted to the biryani here, so much so, that that's all me and my husband had for 3 days, yes, kept going...back...and absolutely loved it biryani was fresh and very authentic taste...definitely the best in North America. Would give a 11 out of 10 if it was possible.
