Shuǎ Niú Máng Premier Pot

This place is one big mistake. Someone thought it would be a cute idea to make you sit and eat on children's furniture but all it is is painful. The choice of foods is hit and miss; some good some bad. You often have to wait for the itms to be refilled. Overall, the quality of the food is poor and the choice is limited. Everything is bland and tasteless. Everything is overpriced: you have to pay for the base even before you start and that can be up to $12. The sauces we had were oily. Your stomach reminds you that you should not have eaten there.

I'm a big fan of 串串, however this is the worst 串串 I've tried in my life. We had the fried noodles which is greasy, tasteless and boring. I think even someone who doesn't know how to cook could do better than this. For the hot pot, we ordered two soup base, a spicy one and a Chicken broth. I have to say neither of them was good and authentic. The spicy soup was tasteless and not spicy at all, and the chicken broth tastes exactly like 浓汤宝. We also had the spicy rabbit head, which was not fresh. I think it's pre-cook from the supplier. Then later that night, I had stomachache for the whole night. Btw, it's totally overpriced, we were two people and we spent almost 80 dollars and were not full!! Just to be clear, the one star is for the service.

Good concept, but way overpriced. It's not an all you can eat hot pot. You start by choosing a broth (ranging from 4-7$ and you can add sauce for an extra fee as well. The food is served in skewers at the back of the restaurant and you can choose as many as you'd like to cook in your pot. Each skewer is 0.60$ and they count the number of skewers at your table at the end for the bill. However, the price is way too much for the amount of food they're giving. Each stick has literaly 1 brocoli, or 1 mushroom, or 1 daikon slice or half a fish tofu, etc. In order to be full, you will probably have to pay a lot. Since the place serves spicy hot pot, the whole restaurant is filled with spicy steam that makes you cough when talking. The tables and chairs are low ones so it's not confortable to sit and enjoy the meal. Overall, the idea is original, but it's just not worth it.
