Officina - Montréal

Stay nearby and discovered this beautiful local café where I could order a large coffee and croissant. Got another morning for an egg. Very good too. Loved the casual atmosphere and saw many locals coming to work on their way...in.

The staff was very friendly and explained all the sandwiches. We had the Caprese Sandwich and Salmon Sandwich. Both were excellent, but my wife's laughter was better. I had planned a Saturday before our tour, but forgot they said they were open only on weekdays. HINT: if you plan a tour on Saturday. Go at the end of the day Friday (they close at 4:00 am) and throw one into your hotel frig for the next day

This place is perfect for a quick takeaway lunch or for a more relaxing sit in. The queue revealed it as a popular spot and the food explained why. They specialise in italian looking sandwiches and chiabattas with a whole range of fillings, but they...also have warm dishes and salads. I ate the raviolis with a selection of salads on the side and it was really tasty and filling. Also, the staff was friendly and efficient so the queue moved fast.

What a friendly lunch place! Looks like everyone knows each other and come here for lunch everyday. Casual, busy, varied and quality main courses. Feels like a friend is cooking for you everyday. Don't expect anything extra ordinary but you will not be disappointed either....And if you work or live close enough, do yourself a favor, try it! (Closed for dinner)

We live near this strip of small business restaurants on Viger and Officina is one we tried for the first time today. It was very busy with office workers stopping by which is a good sign for quality food. Hubby and I both had two...side salads and a grilled turkey guacamole panini and each course was very tasty. We were looking forward to soup, but it,was all sold.by the time we arrived at 12:30 so come early. There is seating upstairs and downstairs and they had some good looking desserts too, but lunch was too filling.
