Contribuiți la feedbackThe staff is very welcoming and the vegetarian dumplings are scrumptious! The interior of the restaurant is lovely and it's conveniently situated next to the Concordia Library building.
We were planning on getting ramen, but on our way there, I saw Mei Restaurant. The menu posted on the front door looked enticing, so we decided to give it a try.
The restaurant served authentic Chinese cuisine with all the classic dishes. I ordered the crispy pancake, soup dumplings, beef pancake, and homemade noodles. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional.
The restaurant is definitely authentic based on the menu items, small plates for sharing, and hot oil on the table. However I tried the wonton soup (the broth was really bland but the raviolis were delicious) and the soup dumplings (had a surprisingly small amount of soup, and also tasted incredibly plain, but I did order the plainest one available). The service was pretty good, so I'll probably give it another try and order different dishes.
Growing up in china my self, I was head over heel when I discovered this little joint. Will you have The greatest service, what atmosphere? No. But you will be eating some really tasty authentic Chinese food. The lamb noodle soup makes me think of what I ate while my was a kid, in my little Chinese village.
