Eating at Liverpool House should be on anyone who likes to eat's Bucket List.
Nice evening at the Liverpool. The mix of an English pub ambiance with French food was awesome. The service was a bit slow at the beginning, but the waiter offered us bread and pickles, and the bustboys were very friendly. To begin, we had the foie gras, which was ok (not incredible, but good), and the beer cheese, which I really liked. It was original and mixed interesting flavors. For the main course, I had the cod, which was perfectly cooked and very fresh. My boyfriend had the Beef Surloin. OMG. It was the best beef I had in my entire life. It was pricy, but there was enough meat for 4 people on that steak (2 or 3 if you eat like pigs). Overall, the food was great, the service was good, the ambiance was fun, and the price was right.
Amazing food but too loud. Seating us next to the bar was not a good idea. It was too loud.
This was our second trip to LH. Again, we had some of the best oysters. Apps were foie gras-focused, rich and delicious. Main courses: hangar steak and lobster spaghetti. Delicious and perfectly prepared. Great staff, front if the house and kitchen. Can't wait to go back.
