L'gros Luxe - Montréal

It was very busy with a nice ambiance when we arrived, the food looked great and we were starving had ample amount of time to attend our concert next door at the Corona Theater. We were placed in the far back corner of the...restaurant which I thought was a good placement...boy was I wrong! The waiter arrived in a timely manner. We order drinks and told him to come back and take our food order as we were not ready to order. He came back to take our order. Vege burger/salad and regular burger with sweet potatoe fries. And then we waited....and waited....saw other customers get served who arrived after us come and go....still no food. An hour passes, we are flailing our arms to get the waiter attention to no avail. Finally I say to my friend we don't even have time to eat now before the concert...we have to go! I stand up and finally the waiter come over. I tell him politely, listen we have been waiting here for over an hour and no one served us our food! He seemed surprised and was like oh that barely ever happens! He apologized and said let me get the machine so you can pay for your drinks then... Seriously?! That should never have happened. An apology is one thing, but having to pay for the drinks after being treated that way....disrespectful! I will never go back

We went on a Saturday night before a concert and the service was very good, our waiter was efficient and friendly, although he did seem quite busy. Honestly, the food was just good for the price. We had burgers that were good, but nothing that...special. However, their menu is very vegetarian friendly and that is a bonus to me (despite not being vegetarian myself). Fun restaurant all-in-all, come for happy hour and drinks become really worth it
