L'Gros Luxe - Montréal

We got takeout from the bar. The vegan dishes were delicious, but it felt like the staff didn't appreciate us because we only spoke English.

This is a lovely place that serves very good food at reasonable prices and has a beautiful outdoor garden which is perfect for eating out in the summer. After a long drive from Toronto we had our first nights dinner here and pleased to be warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and stayed for dinner and a few drinks (which were very well made! . I would highly recommend.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY!! They do not prioritize serving vegan options and they made a mistake by serving meat to me. Their apology was simply "mistakes happen" which is unacceptable. It seems like I am not the only one who has had this issue. I urge all vegans and vegetarians to boycott L 'GROX LUXE as they disrespect us by serving meat when they run out of vegan ingredients. The owner, manager, and cooking staff should be ashamed as there seems to be a lack of pride and organization in the kitchen. The uncaring staff and negligent owner are to blame for this mistake. I will be sick for days and I will not let this go unnoticed.

This is a good place for Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, poutine, or a burger. They have a great bar menu and lots of vegan options.

Super bar atmosphere decent food as well. They gave us the remote so we could watch the game. Guillaume was am awesome bartender.
