Le Roi du wonton - Montréal

Nice little Taiwanese place. Had the beef noodle soup, won ton noodle soup, and fried dumplings. All were excellent.

Very good Taiwanese cuisine. We had sour and spicy soup, minced pork on rice, both were authentic Taiwanese flavors. We also ordered wonton noodles in light beef flavored soup the soup tasted subtle in the beginning, but it grew on me, and the noodles and the wontons were wonderful!!!

The lady is really nice. When I was waiting for my takeout food, she served the tea as well for free. I ordered the noodle soup with roasted chicken. This one is really recommended. The roasted chicken is really tasty. And then I also ordered the teriyaki chicken fried noodles. For this one, it is alright. The lady also gave the moon cake instead of fortune cookies that usually given in other asian restaurant. This is really nice!

I don't know if they changed owner or chef. But the food was horrible. The lo mein was made from ground meat instead of streaky pork. The color is pale which is not what authentic lo mein meat looks like. The wonton noodle doesn't taste fresh at all. It's probably the worst food I've had since the beginning of 2023. For 30$, this is a 0 star rating if i could give 0.

Good is very good. Dumplings are nicely done. Note that the wonton is not cantonese, so don't expect that. Wonderful service, friendly and helpful. Btw they dont take credit, so be aware.
