La Matraca - Montréal

La Matraca offers authentic Mexican food for a student-friendly price. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and the taste was fantastic. The serving sizes are quite small, so we would recommend ordering more than one meal. In reality, we appreciate that this can actually be intended, so you can mix and fit to a meal suitable for your taste. Mr. Noël fell in love with the flatitas and would highly recommend it. Jacob had the Suadero Tacos and warns that the beef was a little hard, but still very good.

Service was top notch. Cosy place, tacos were excellent and the prices are super affordable. There was really a great time.

This place was great, the dishes were quite cheap (7$ for 3 tacos) and the choriqueso was really good as a starter. Great to share, and the house made tortillas were fresh and hot.

I was in Mexico City (DF-Ditrito Federal), and this is the closest authentic DF-Tacos I cost in Montreal. Something more expensive than necessary, but so good you won't be disappointed.

The size of the portions is small. The food is just acceptable and don’t expect to get the great Mexican taste you may have found somewhere else. I asked for a Gringa and the size and amount of meat on it was ridiculously small. I...don’t plan to come back to this place. There are much better tacos in other restaurants in Montreal!!
