John Michael's Pub - Montréal

It took over 1 hrs to get or food the Taco was so yet it was like à soupe nachos were blend.

After spending a day exploring the city, we made a reservation for a pint and dessert. Beverage selection was good and something for everyone. We were disappointed that they were from cheesecakes, but a bit of chocolate cake and we were in heaven. The fresh blueberries in the chocolate were a divine touch. We had no food, but the smell of the sauce of the wings was mouthwater. In any case, would be back to try the wings. Enjoy seating and people.

Service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was not well prepared at all. The 3 pcs chicken flour was heavily baked and tasted as if it had been revived. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich bread was not roasted and it fell apart while food showed that it was old bread. For what we ordered, the price was too expensive. Down there.

The location is perfect. If you can sit outside, this is the best, but the reservation through the open table gets only a place inside. Traditional American art pub but they were from everything my children wanted to order. The prices are typical of Old Montreal.

So, we are not big on Qr codes for menus or drink lists. The menu came in hard copy but we were told the only way to get the drink list was on the Qr code. Turns out there actually was a hard copy drink menu. But instead of just offering to get it the waiter decided he would give us a tech lesson on smart phone. I resisted. He insisted. Finally he agreed to a hard scoot menu after giving us a lesson about google tracking no matter what you do. He clearly misunderstood his role in our relationship; guest/server. We tipped him well anyway but won't go back or suggest. He appeared needy of the tip. Food was a B attempt at great burgers. Overcooked. Average for a five guys.
